Position description

The UCLA Department of Art History seeks part-time lecturers to fill teaching positions for the 2024-25 academic year. Successful candidates may teach one or more courses in the art and/or architecture of the following subject areas: African Art, South Asian Art, Japanese Art, Early Modern Art. Applicants are encouraged to review details on undergraduate course offerings in Art History by consulting the course descriptions in the UCLA General Catalog, available here: http://catalog.registrar.ucla.edu.

Applicants are required to hold a PhD by the start of the appointment, and preference will be given to those who have demonstrated effectiveness in lecture courses. The department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through teaching and research.
