Students will engage in discussions, technical demonstrations, and brief lectures on both traditional myths and their adaptations in contemporary works. With personalized guidance, students will develop their skills in storytelling and animation, creating unique narratives inspired by Japanese mythology.
The summer myth & drama enriching courses for rising 5th and 6th grade students combines the excitement of drama with the intrigue of mythology. Through engaging activities, students will study and perform dramatic scenes inspired by these myths. They will also participate in writing workshops to create their own myth-inspired narratives.
Throughout the course, students will develop their acting skills through improvisation, character development, and scene work. They will study the structure and themes of myths, learning how to incorporate these elements into their performances. The course will include technical demonstrations, script readings, and performance exercises, all designed to enhance their understanding of drama and mythology.
The course will conclude with a group performance and storytelling session, where students will showcase their dramatic talents and share their original myth-inspired stories.
