Position description
Assistant Project Scientist
The Department of Neurology at the University of California, Los Angeles invites applications for an Assistant Project Scientist position. The laboratory is located within Neuroscience Research Building. This position will focus on determining the cellular and molecular mechanisms of learning and memory in the brain and in recovery after brain diseases, using mouse models. The studies will involve mouse behavioral assays and tissue analysis of brain activity patterns.
Salary range is $74100 to $85900.
Requirements:
Applicants must have an M.D or Ph.D. degree with several years of postdoctoral training in neuroscience and in stroke recovery studies. The ideal applicant will have experience in animal models of learning and memory and in brain immunohistochemistry studies and neuroanatomical analysis.
