Position description

The Digital Humanities Program at UCLA seeks applications for a part-time Lecturer position. This position will be 50% for Fall 2025, Winter 2026 and Spring 2026 and will cover 1 course per quarter.

Teaching areas include: Digital approaches to the study of musicology, world music history, computational text analysis, audio archiving, digital music documentation with computational tools. Technical proficiency in digital humanities tools and experience teaching digital humanities courses at the university level are required.

Classes also involve regularly scheduled office hours to consult with students and to offer mentorship support.

Requirements: Ph.D. in a related humanistic field is required. Candidates should provide a letter of application, CV, and three names for references. Appointment effective as of July 1, 2025. Service Start Date: September 22nd, 2025

Basic qualifications

Ph.D. in hand, preferably from a field in the Humanities; technical proficiency in digital humanities tools; and experience teaching digital humanities courses at the university level.
