Position title: Retina Faculty at Stein Eye Institute
Salary range: The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5/Scale 7. The salary range for this position is $134,700 - $411,500. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

Position description

The UCLA Department of Ophthalmology invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the level of assistant or associate professor in vitreoretinal diseases and disorders with primary clinical activities at the Stein Eye Institute, Stein Eye Centers, Doheny Eye Centers-UCLA and affiliated hospitals. Applicants should be dedicated to teaching, exemplary patient care, professional activities, creative contributions to administrative, academic or research activities, and service to the University and to the profession.

Candidates must be board eligible and eligible for medical licensure in the State of California. Further, the Search Committee welcomes candidates whose personal and professional experience, mentorship, and contributions to the success of all students and trainees regardless of background have qualified them for this position.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications

Doctorate degree in medicine or equivalent (M.D.)

Postgraduate residency training in ophthalmology.

Additional qualifications

Fellowship training or equivalent in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery.

Eligible for medical licensure in the State of California.
