Position description

The UCLA Department of Anthropology seeks part-time lecturers with outstanding teaching records to fill positions for academic year 2026-27. Successful candidates will teach the following upper-division undergraduate courses:

Anthro 153: Language and Identity (Fall 2026)
Anthro 169: Selected Topics in Regional Cultures: Italy and the Mediterranean (Winter 2027)
Anthro 159: Selected Topics in Linguistic Anthropology (Spring 2027)

Applicants are required to hold a Ph.D. at the time of appointment, and preference will be given to those who have demonstrated effectiveness in lecture courses.
