Position description

The Department of Radiological Sciences at UCLA is seeking a highly motivated researcher to join the Abdominal Imaging Lab as a Postdoctoral Scholar, using the Image-Centric Abdominal Multiomics Program (ICAMP) resource. The successful candidate will work closely with Dr. Raman and a cross-disciplinary team to develop protocols to correlate imaging with a variety of ancillary outcomes, including pathology, multi-omics, artificial intelligence, treatment and clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead independent research projects and support collaborative projects
• Author scientific publications and grant proposals
• Supervise trainees and maintain research infrastructure
• Comply with UCLA guidelines for lab safety, animal research, and human subject research
• Develop and update standard operating procedures and best practices for research projects
• Communicate effectively with team members, present findings and progress both verbally and in writing

Qualifications

Basic qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent

Preferred qualifications

• Background in coding, computing, engineering, biological sciences, radiology, and/or radiological sciences is ideal
• Background in scientific writing
• Prior laboratory experience preferred, especially in basic and clinical research
